Driver: Jagdish is very reliable, competent and a friendly guy. His English is sufficient.
Guide in Agra: Outstanding job, clearly exceeded my expectations.
Guide in Jaipur: very good.
Guide in Delhi: very good, very experienced - not the classical tourist guide.
Hotels in Agra and Jaipur: Trident-Hilton were excellent, good service, food.
Hotel in Delhi cannot be recommended to the more sophisticated traveller.

We arrived home safely and all the flights were on time.
Thank you very much for arranging yet another memorable holiday for us. We seem to have packed so much in to our three plus weeks. The Itinerary was excellent as was all the accommodation. we very much enjoyed the character type accommodation and the friendliness of the privately owned elements like Butts Houseboats and White Haven.
Our Guides were all excellent and always asked if there were particular things we wanted to see so that they could include that in our visits,
Special thanks to you for again setting up a wonderful programme and looking after us so well and also to Dushyant for his attentiveness to ensuring our smooth transit passages through Delhi. He was unflappable and patiently endured several flight arrival and train departure delays.
We are still catching up on our mail, household chores etc but I will put together in the next month or so an illustrated report of our travels in India and forward it to you to include on your website if it meets your needs.
Again very many thanks to you and Beckon Tours for all your hard work on our behalf. I will get in touch soon about options for next year. We will need to avoid the Commonwealth Games rush and would like to see more of Kashmir, Leh, Ladakh etc. and other new destinations which I think you said would mean a June/July visit.

We have arrived home safely but to temperatures of 8C and light rain after not having asingle drop during our three week holiday!
We can't thank you enough for makimg such wonderful arrangements for us on our Tour. The itinererary was excellent and gave us a wonderful overview of your beautiful country and its people. We now know why the Indian Tourist Board refer to 'Incredible India'.
The accommodation fitted our needs perfectly, the Transport and drivers were excellent and all the Guides were so helpful and informative. Thank you for your frequent contact with us to check that all was going well.
The Itinererary was perfect. The North and Nepal were wonderful full of marvellous sites and hustle and bustle of city life and traffic. The South was so restful with its distant views, Tea plantations and mountains. Our last two nights were so relaxing on the Houseboat and at the marvellous Neerana Fort Hotel. Everything was just perfect and all thanks to your planning and arrangements,
Hopefully this is 'aurevoir' rather than 'goodbye' as we would like to see more of 'Incredible India' especially more of Rajisthan. I hope that when we can fit it into our holiday plans you will be willing to assist us in our planning.

Namaste! Vinod-I am back in the States and settled in to work and home. Wanted to let you know what a wonderful time I had in India- I can't wait to come back. Hopefully when I do, I will bring some friends with me. I am convincing Mika to go to the south for a few weeks when she visits again next year. My pictures are almost ready to show off, and I think I will convince a few more to travel once they are seen.
I am wearing my new clothes (in fact, wearing an orange saree right now) and everyone at work loves them. It is too bad the current political situation is putting things on halt for americans. There is still a lot of protesting here-even some last night by Oscar winners at the academy awards. Doesn't seem to do much good, though. I hope the war is not affecting you too much. Keep the faith-the tourism will pick up soon...
Please pass along to Deepak how impressed I was with the service I received. Everyone here is amazed I went by myself, but I told them that you really took excellent care of me-I didn't have to worry about anything and felt very safe. Until such time as I return, I will promote your service and country as much as I can-well deserved praise at that.

My apologies for not replying to you sooner. Here's my feedback:
1. The trip you arranged was excellent. The itinery you put together was exactly right. Any more sites would have been too much.
2. Mr Singh, the driver of the car, was very easy to travel with. I felt very safe with his driving. He knew his way at all times. The type of car was a good choice - lots of leg room.
3. The two guides were first-class.The name of the guide in Jaipur was: Abhishek Shekhawat. He was extremely knowledgeable of all the sites we visited and clearly very proud of the things he was showing me. The guide in Agra was Sayed Nizami. He too was very knowledgeable. He did a good job of judging how much time we spent at each site. He also had a great sense of humour.
4. The two hotels that you booked me into were very appropriate for the locations. The Bissau Palace hotel is very conveniently located and well run. The staff are very friendly. It is set in very pleasent grounds which are a welcome relief from the activity in the city. The Taj View hotel is a very nice hotel to have at the end of a long trip. The facilities were excellent. The buffet dinner was reasonably priced for a 5-star hotel, although a lunchtime snack proved to be extremely expensive if you chose a la carte.
Very many thanks for all your effort in puting this trip together at relatively short notice.

We are french people living now in Montreal, Canada. We had already visited 25 countries from San Fransisco in the West to Bangkok in the East. We used to carry with us a guide from your collection, sometimes one of each! But even if we know well your books and if we thought about a lot of good or less good feedback, we never took the time to contact you to share our experiences with you ... until now.
We are just back from India and Nepal. We went there for 3 weeks, in July '99. Delhi,Rajasthan,Varanasi and the Kathmandu Valley. This trip was special for us because we went there to get married as well.
Then, for the first time, we decided to use the services of a travel agency to help us to organize our trip and especially the wedding part.
Montreal agencies are not knowledgeable about India and we started to contact agencies in New Delhi through Internet. Afetr a few weeks, thanks to their fast answers, we had a clear idea of what we wanted our vacations and wedding to be.
We got proposals and quotations from travel agents of Delhi.
After asking these sites of the city of New Delhi (who take information from the Ministry of Tourism) Superinder@inetindia.com and jaya@delhigate.com for references on these agencies, we opted for Beckon Pvt. Ltd.
We finalised the trip : they would pick us at the airport, book hotels for the first 10 days of our stay, arrange the transportation between cities and above all arrange the wedding ceremony.
We sent them a deposit of US$ 350 to confirm.
All of this was done without having seen them and even knowing if they were real or just virtual!!!!
We knew that we were taking the risk to see nobody at the airport and be another victim of electronic fraud. But we felt that these guys were serious. In the exchange of emails we had for more than 1 month, answers were always fast , regular and we judged them professional enough to go ahead.
If they would'nt be there to greet us, we would have been ready to arrange everything by ourselves on site.
In arriving in Delhi, they were there, waiting for us and more than that, the service they offered was outstanding. Their representatives in all the cities were so helpful, always on time and ready to make our stay the best possible.The manager of the agency, in Delhi, Neelam Singh, was calling the hotels before we arrived to ask them to provide us good service. It was way above all expectations, and in a country where everything takes a long time, we appreciated a lot the time we saved thanks to them (buying train tickets, registrations, transportation, choice of hotels...)
So, we recommand anyone who wants to go in India and needs a part to be organised to go in India and needs a part to be organized to go in India and needs a part to be organized to go to the Internet at beckon@ndb.vsnl.net.in, chat with these guys and use their services. They won’t regret it.
